'US Elections 2020: Joe Biden Welcomes Kamala Harris into Family in Acceptance Speech'

President-elect Joe Biden called for Americans to come together after years of division in a victory speech in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware.

Biden, who crossed the finish line after days of counting with a win in the swing state of Pennsylvania, pledged to be a “president who seeks not to divide but to unify.”

His running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, honoured those who she said “paved the way” for her, as she became the first woman, and the first woman of colour, to hold the office of Vice President.
