|
Brad Panovich weather vlog: Wednesday, July 19, 2023. The Charlotte area will see isolated strong storms Wednesday with a better chance of severe weather on Thursday. The risk on Thursday is medium and thunderstorms will be more widespread across North Carolina and South Carolina.
In this video, WCNC Charlotte chief meteorologist Brad Panovich has the severe weather outlook for the Charlotte metro area. Brad Panovich breaks down the storm timing and the primary threats of these storms, which include heavy rain, damaging winds and flash flooding. Some of these storms could produce severe straight-line winds, plus isolated tornadoes and hail in areas south of Charlotte, North Carolina. Brad Panovich says the risk of storms is higher Thursday because a complex of thunderstorms could develop over the Carolinas. These storms could produce hail and damaging winds but the biggest risk will be flash flooding due to heavy downpours of rain. #cltwx #ncwx #scwx #wcnc #weather #charlotte #northcarolina #southcarolina Weather IQ is powered by the meteorologists and forecasters at WCNC Charlotte in North Carolina.
