Hence it would make sense to send him on a loan for this season, he could be in the playing eleven for the French league 1 team. This would be beneficial for his development as in the case of William Saliba, who managed to get the young player of the season award for Marseille, and further raised a strong case for himself to start for the London team.

Marseille faced Reims for the League 1 season opener last weekend. He had a dream start to his loan spell at the Olympique de Marseille stadium. Tavares received the ball on the edge of Reims Penalty box and managed to put the opposition in a spot of bother with his tricky feet. He wriggled his way towards a promising position and send a cracking ground shot with his right foot. The effort towards the far right corner beaten the diving Reims goalkeeper to increase their leade. It was an astonishing display from the left back, the stadium erupted with the fellow Marseille players took the opportunity in congratulating him for the top notch effort. Tavares is blessed with his natural ability of speed and the physique required to be an important asset for Marseille. If he can deliver consistent performances in this season for the French team, he could creep back into Arteta’s plans for the coming seasons at the Eminates stadium.
