Jurgen Klopp was made for Liverpool, helped in no small part by his time at Borussia Dortmund.

It's a trio with plenty of links binding them together.When the Bundesliga returned last weekend, there is no doubt that the German boss, on the verge of winning the Premier League title with the Reds, would have been tuned in to his former club's clash with Schalke.

Liverpool's manager is still revered in Dortmund, and has a similar bond with supporters to the one he has successfully created at Anfield.
