Philip Hammond hints he could vote against new PM over no-deal Brexit

Philip Hammond has dropped a heavy hint at Treasury questions in the Commons that he would be prepared to break the Conservative party whip to block a no-deal Brexit. The chancellor added that Treasury forecasts showed leaving the EU without a deal would cost £90bn over the next 15 years
