In his first speech to MPs as the UK's new prime minister, Boris Johnson has asked the European Union to think again about its refusal to renegotiate the Brexit deal.
Johnson also said his government would prioritise preparations for exiting without an agreement, if there is no deal with the EU by the October 31 deadline.
Johnson had promised to unite the Conservative Party, but his decision to sack or sideline 17 senior ministers may have done the opposite and with a deadline like no other looming, he is facing unprecedented opposition.
