► In this video I talk about the inequalities in the criminal justice system towards women of colour. While analyzing the Me Too Movement, I apply concepts mentioned in my Carceral Feminism: Race, Gender, and State Violence class, to discuss why we need to acknowledge the disparities within state systems in order to prevent the state from abusing their power within the prison system and move towards a more just society for all identities.
