One Year Later: How COLE CAUFIELD Went From An Undersized Goal-Scoring Machine To TOP HABS PROSPECT |
|
At the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, the Montreal Canadiens added another short guy to their system in Cole Caufield, selecting the 5'7" winger from the USNTDP 15th overall. The pick was greeted with a slew of positivity, as Caufield was highly touted by many as the best goal scorer of the entire draft, playing on a stacked lineup with Jack Hughes, Trevor Zegras, Alex Turcotte, Cam York, Matthew Boldy, Spencer Knight, Domenick Fensore, Alex Vlasic, John Beecher, and others. Today, after spending one year with the University of Wisconsin Badgers Men's Ice Hockey Team in the NCAA alongside the aforementioned Alex Turcotte as well as K'Andre Miller, Caufield is still looking like a beast of a pickup for the Habs.
