The event title "Newa: Idol" may sound like a musical program to represent a single ethnic group. But "Newa: Idol" is a platform to facilitate any talent in the world who can speak Nepal Bhasa and sing in the language irrespective of ethnicity, religion and geography, opening a new horizon of musical journey. It is being organized under leadership of Falcon Event Pvt. Ltd.
At present, Newa: people are introducing themselves globally and not limited to 77 districts of seven provinces of federal republican Nepal. There is a strong presence of Newa: people in neighboring India, namely in places like Sikkim, Darjeeling, Assam etc. Alongside the spread of Newa: community all over the world, Non-Newa: people are developing a keen interest in learning Nepal Bhasa.
The event, which will be broadcasted through Nice Television HD, the second HD TV in Nepal, will be highly publicized through social media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok) to reach global audience. Online portals will also be mobilized in covering the event.
The main objective of the program is to present Newa: identity and pride while promoting Nepal Bhasa music at an international level. It specifically aims to:
• to expand the Newa: musical sector;
• to expose and promote hidden talents;
• to present the Newa: originality in the musical field;
• to motivate the new generation with support from the older generation;
• to establish a Newa: Music Museum of Newa: songs, instrumentals, publications related to music etc.
• to promote and publicize the use of Nepal Bhasa.
• to attract Non-Newa: people towards Newa: music and Nepal Bhasa.
