The sun shone over St Andrews in Scotland last week as a 450-strong global delegation descended onto the town for The Farr Institute International Conference 2015:Data Intensive Health Research and Care.

A multidisciplinary cohort of health practitioners, data science researchers, policy makers and members of the public enjoyed a packed three day programme that involved 275 oral presentations and posters with a particular focus on data intensive health research and care.
