Join the SolidCAD team for a two-part Introduction series to Automation for PowerMill, hosted by our Technical Specialist, Christopher Marion from SolidCAD. In this first session, we will look at:

1. Understanding on how macro’s can streamline your programming experience.

2. How a pmuser macro can save you time by setting up your PowerMill environment exactly how you want it.

3. We will explore how to record a basic macro for your machining setup, to save you time for programming your parts quicker.

4. How to edit this macro to add additional parameters.

In this second session, we will look at:

1. Adding some basic user interaction to the recorded macro from the first session to deal with varying part sizes.

2. How a template can save you additional time by storing quick to use processes.

3. We will create an easy to use roughing macro.

4. Placing these new macros onto a custom tab in the ribbon.
