Meniscus pain varies depending on what stage of healing it is currently in. If the meniscus is flared up and irritated, then it might hurt constantly. As it heals, the pain can come and go depending on what activities you're doing. Once the meniscus tear heals enough, there may be no pain at all even though there might still be a meniscus tear visible on an MRI.
