What if we are losing the humanity in arts? | Vanessa Kisuule | TEDxVienna |
|
Art is superficial. Art can be commodified. Art, like most things in our modern world, could be made by robots. Spoken word artist and writer Vanessa Kisuule grapples with the notion of how we will create and consume art in an increasingly technological age and whether we need to re-think the purpose of creativity.
More information on http://www.tedxvienna.at Vanessa's poetry is personal but always extends itself into something universal: the need to be heard and understood by each other. Vanessa feels that poetry provides an alternate history beyond the textbooks; one altogether more nuanced and more human. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx |
