Felt that the 2020 NHL Draft Lottery deserves its own video as part of the NHL updates. The outcome from the draft lottery is very controversial and had many hockey fans ranting and debating on how it was done under the unusual circumstances with the global pandemic from COVID-19.

Since the draft lottery was done before the conclusion of the 2019-20 season and 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs. There's a plan in place that if a team who is still playing in the 24 team playoff enters in the top three that another draft lottery will be made to decide the 8 teams that got eliminated in the play in round. What happened the placeholder team won the first overall pick from the 7 teams who aren't going to be a part of the 24 team playoff. Don't know who is the place holder team is at this time so let the possibilities ensue. Where will Alexis Lafreniere play?

How the 2020 NHL Draft Lottery broke down:

1) Placeholder team
2) Los Angeles Kings
3) Ottawa Senators (via San Jose Sharks)
4) Detroit Red Wings
5) Ottawa Senators
6) Anaheim Ducks
7) New Jersey Devils
8) Buffalo Sabres

Say the winners we're the Los Angles Kings and who gets the placeholder team from being eliminated in the play in round.

Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators lost by moving down after having rough seasons.

Phase II will be needed to decide the placeholder team and picks 9-15 to be decided from the play in round results.
