Carla Esparza returned to the Octagon for the first time in more than a year at UFC 197, where she won a unanimous decision over Juliana Lima. The fight was somewhat short notice, and she was okay with that, but if a last-minute opportunity arises to step into a title fight if champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk or challenger Claudia Gadelha drops out of the TUF 23 Finale headliner, Esparza isn't so sure that she'd want to step in.
