Turkey warned Brussels about terrorist
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says Ankara had warned Belgium that one of the two brothers who carried out the attacks in Brussels was a terrorist. Ankara had deported Ibrahim el Bakraoui to the Netherlands last July but Belgian authorities later released him. DAESH has claimed responsibility for the bombings at Brussels Airport and a metro station. Officials say the terror attacks killed 31 people and wounded 270 others.

Karadzic verdict to be announced
The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia is to due to hand down its verdict in the trial of Radovan Karadzic. The former Bosnian Serb leader is accused of commanding the Serb forces that massacred at least 7,000 Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica in 1995. Prosecutors who work for the UN tribunal have charged Karadzic with two counts of genocide as well as nine other counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity. He denies the charges.

Parties to agree on basic principles
Bashar al Assad’s representatives and opposition parties are expected to agree to a document drawn up by UN Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura. And while the ‘cessation in hostilities’ in Syria remains fragile, negotiations are expected to pick up once again in April. The cessation deal was brokered by the United States and Russia. It excludes DAESH and the Nusra Front. The war in Syria has now entered its sixth year. It has killed more than 250-thousand people and displaced 11 million others.

2 Palestinians killed in West Bank
Israeli troops say they’ve shot dead two Palestinians, who they say attacked an Israeli soldier in Hebron. The soldier is said to be in stable condition. Violence has increased in Israel and the Occupied Territories since October. It began because of a dispute over access to Al Aqsa Mosque. At least 191 Palestinians and 28 Israelis have been killed.
