So many states have soaring COVID-19 infections that Gov. Phil Murphy scrapped his travel advisory. He now says if you’re traveling to New Jersey from outside the New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Delaware region to quarantine for 14 days when you get here. That’s the CDC recommended time. New York’s governor scrapped his advisory last month to allow out-of-state travelers to avoid a longer quarantine if they test negative twice.
The state Wednesday reported 4,073 new positive test results for 317,905 total cases. New Jersey reported 50 more confirmed COVID-19 fatalities for a total of 16,886 confirmed and probable deaths. As of Tuesday night, there were some 2,902 patients in hospitals being treated for COVID-19 in New Jersey.
