Inside the UW Medicine Neurosciences Institute |

Everything we do, say or think is controlled by our nervous system, so when it begins to break down, it can feel threatening to our core. The Neurosciences Institute (NSI) was founded to provide the best care for patients with neurological disorders, to discover novel treatments and to educate future generations of neuroscientists and clinicians. Whether patients have experienced a life-altering event like a brain tumor or stroke or are living with epilepsy or another chronic neurological disorder, our NSI provides them the highest level of care.
Our multidisciplinary team offers services across 18 sub-specialties within neurology and neurological surgery. UW Medicine is home to one of the largest and most experienced groups of neurologists and neurosurgeons in the Pacific Northwest. More than half of Seattle Magazine’s “Top Docs” in neuroscience work for UW Medicine. Our team approach ensures we can offer patients wide-ranging expertise and provide comprehensive medical care. Their goal is to improve the quality of life for patients managing complex neurological disorders and provide the best neurological care across four hospitals – UW Medical Center – Montlake, Harborview Medical Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and the VA Puget Sound. #neuroscience |
