HealthTalk 115: Athletic Training

video thumbnail
Athletic trainers are an important part of the health care team. They work not only with athletes, as their name suggests, but also with every day active people who deal with physical injury or who want to reduce their risk of injury and improve their health. Athletic trainers at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset and RWJBarnabas Health have partnered with schools throughout our region, including Rutgers University and most recently, Piscataway School District, to help young athletes prevent and recover from injuries.

Special guests for this episode of HealthTalk are Ryan Stevens, manager for athletic training, fitness and physical therapy for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton; and David Borchardt is a certified athletic trainer for RWJBarnabas Health who serves as director of athletic training services for Rutgers Athletics.
