This is probably the weirdest scenario of NHL free agency rumours this season, but let's go at it anyway. According to NHL sources, the Arizona Coyotes met up with Taylor Hall over dinner, and ended up offering him a lowball contract in the process. The weird part about this is, the Coyotes' GM John Chayka, as well as Taylor Hall's agent weren't confirmed to being at the actual meeting. In the case of Chayka, it appears that he didn't even know about the meet-up until a day after. Furthermore, according to Elliotte Friedman on the 31 Thoughts Podcast, Taylor Hall honestly likes the Arizona Coyotes quite a bit, despite his wishes to take his UFA status up until past the season's end.
