What is the Paris Agreement? Why is it considered a landmark treaty, celebrated by countries around the world? And how can it really save our planet from the present and intensifying effects of the climate crisis?

For the 5th anniversary of the adoption of the historic Paris Agreement on Climate Change on December 12, 2015, we’ve prepared this video to give you an overview of the accord, the responsibilities of countries to achieve its goals, and the progress of its implementation five years ago since it was adopted as the first legally binding treaty to combat climate change.

This is part of our efforts to commemorate and celebrate the historic event, but to truly relive the moment of global solidarity and mutual cooperation, nations now must keep their word and promise for a safer and healthier planet by achieving the Paris goals.
