Stroll from 'Prisoner of War Bricks' Heritage Gardens to 'Saraca Stream' in the Tanglin Core #travel

video thumbnail
Let's take a walk with Sabahan in Singapore from 'Prisoner of War Bricks' Heritage Gardens to 'Saraca Stream' in the Tanglin Core area. Today I was at the 'Heritage Garden', (Singapore Botanic Gardens). First I would like to focus on the history of the stairs leading to the ‘Plant House’. Where the bricks used to build these stairs were made from the forced labor of Japanese military prisoners of World War II (1942-1945) in Singapore under Japanese occupation. Also known as 'Prisoner of War Steps'. The brick was engraved with small, uneven arrows.
Ok, to find out the ending of the historical story, let’s follow me all the way to the end of the video.
