Nagaland gets first women MLAs —Hekhani Jakhalu and Salhoutuonuo Kruse — in its 60 years of statehood. The two MLAs from Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) defeated sitting MLAs in Dimapur-III and western Angami respectively.
