The last of the 28th Maori Battalion senior leaders has died. Hone Hikitia Te Rangi Waititi was mourned at his marae in Whangaparaoa today. There was a strong army contingency that joined Te Whanau-a-Apanui and Ngati Porou in mourning the loss of this leader.
