Amidst the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine for more than a year, Russia's own Wagner army declared a mutiny against the Russian Defense Ministry. The head of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced the march of his fighters towards Moscow after the capture of Rostov on Don, the headquarters of the Russian army, to overthrow the defense minister. President Vladimir Putin got angry on this and he promised to punish this group, accusing them of betraying Russia. Russia's Defense Ministry issued an arrest warrant against Prigozhin. Let us tell you that in Russia, there is a provision of 20 years of punishment for armed rebellion.
रूस और यूक्रेन के बीच एक साल से ज्‍यादा समय से जारी युद्ध के बीच रूस की ही वैगनर सेना ने रूसी रक्षा मंत्रालय के खिलाफ बगावत का ऐलान कर दिया. वैगनर ग्रुप के मुखिया येवगेनी प्रिगोझिन ने रक्षा मंत्री को उखाड़ फेंकने के लिए रूसी सेना के मुख्‍यालय रोस्‍तोव ऑन डॉन पर कब्‍जे के बाद मास्‍को की तरफ अपने लड़ाकों के कूच की घोषणा कर दी. इस पर राष्‍ट्रपति व्‍लादिमीर पुतिन गुस्‍सा हो गए और उन्‍होंने रूस को धोखा देने का आरोप लगाते हुए इस समूह को सजा देने का वादा किया. रूस के रक्षा मंत्रालय ने प्रिगोझिन के खिलाफ गिरफ्तारी वारंट जारी कर दिया. बता दें कि रूस में हथियार बंद बगावत के आरोप में 20 साल की सजा का प्रावधान है.
