Tawang is a beautiful hillstation at 10,000 ft height, in the lap of Himalaya, in the State of Arunachal Pradesh. We visited there in the month of October and summed up our trip in three different parts.

This was a five day trip and we halted at Dirang on Day 1 at GonPalok Homestay. They stay was superb and the owner of the Homestay, Mr Tashi was very helpful and accomodative. If you are halting at Dirang and do try out this homestay. This place is perfect for family stays as well.

The very next day we started to Tawang and reached Tawang in the afternoon. We stayed at Bliss Homestay. The stay at Bliss Home stay was ok type considering we are a family of 4 peolple including two kids. however if you are a biker or a solo traveller you may definitely try out this place. This homestay is at a walking distance from the Monastery

Unfortunately we had to cut down the length of our Tawang stay as my younger kid was uncomfortable at the high altitude of Tawang so we climbed down to Dirang cutting our Tawang stay short by two days.

In Dirang we stayed at Dirang Boutique cottages and the experience is just awesome. Its bit on the pricy side but good things come at a good price. We will upload a detail vlog on Dirang Boutique cottages very soon.
