Nirmalya Dey is a master vocalist of the Dagarvani dhrupad, known for patient, meditative elaboration of some of North India’s oldest musical forms. He took advanced training from Zia Fariduddin Dagar, and regularly appeared with his guru on stage. Today he performs to acclaim and teaches at the Dhrupad Gurukul in Delhi.
