Telangana BJP MLA T Raja Singh, who was arrested for alleged derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad, has been sent to 14-day judicial custody. Singh will be lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison in Hyderabad.
On Monday, the BJP MLA released a video criticising stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui, and was purportedly seen making comments, allegedly against Islam. Several people belonging to the community staged protests in various parts of the city demanding Raja Singh's arrest.
