The Primera Division action begins in Barcelona as the Blaugrana take on Granada. Ronal Koeman’s side can move to the top of the table following last weekend’s 2-1 win over Villarreal. However, they will have to play Granada, a side who have improved dramatically following being booted out of the Europa League just a few weeks ago.

Friday's action begins with two teams who are relaxed following securing safety in Spain's top-flight for another season. Celta Vigo had a particularly poor start to the campaign. However, the northerners are now 9th in the division. They’re scoring lots of goals with 4 out of the last 5 games, seeing more than 2.5 goals. They play Levante.

Alaves can make a huge step towards safety on Saturday afternoon when they play bottom of the table Eibar. The Basque Country opponents lost 1-0 to Real Sociedad, making it now five defeats in a row and seven in their last eight.

After many, many months at the top of the table, Atletico Madrid can lose grasp on top spot when they play Elche. They haven't recorded a victory in any of their last five away games in all competitions. Elche, on the other hand, are just one point above the relegation zone.

Huesca need to bounce back in order to stay in the Primera Division. Despite looking like they were going to survive this season, their poor form has seen them drop down to 19th. The Northerners have now lost three games in a row after two consecutive victories. This weekend they take on Real Sociedad up in 5th.

Rail Madrid are likely to rotate many of their players ahead of their European Champions League semi-final when they host Osasuna in the Spanish capital. Some of their key players are beginning to run on fumes, with the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos desperately in need of a rest.

Both Real Valladolid and Real Betis have forgotten how to win. These two sides are at opposite ends of the table, and this one could end up being a draw. Elsewhere on Sunday, Villarreal host Getafe. The Madrid side could take advantage of Villarreal's focus on their Europa League semi-final against Arsenal.

Cadiz still need to secure some points to confirm safety despite being 13th in the division. They have played 3 games without a win, scoring just 1 goal in the process and this weekend they travel to Granada. Barcelona are back in action on Sunday night when they take a trip to play Valencia. They all need to pass the Mestalla test in order to cement their credentials for another title tilt.

Our final game on Match Day 34 in Spain's top-flight. See Sevilla host Athletic Bilbao. The Andalusian won't leave the table toppers alone and are now just three points away from Atletico Madrid at the top, following five straight victories in the League.
