Join us as we explore 19th century sabre fencing using a scabbard as an off hand weapon and even when and how to kick. This workshop will explore the techniques detailed in The Sabre on Foot, practical advice on its use on campaign by Augustin Chambon (1911) which details how to use the scabbard as an off hand weapon when fencing against bayonet, cavalry with lance, and an opponent on foot with just a sabre. A translation of the manual can be found at https://hitandnotbehit.files.wordpress.com/2019/02/sabreonfoot_chambon_1911_ptc19.pdf
