This episode tackled intergenerational responsibility in the context of climate action and sustainability. It featured seasoned climate activists from one of the world’s biggest carbon polluters who will take us through the challenges they faced in advocating against fossil fuels, the motivations behind their climate advocacy, and their hope to ensure a livable future for their children and the generations to come.
Guests: Michael Foster, Climate Reality Leader and Co-Founder of 350 Seattle; Aji Piper, one of the 21 youth plaintiffs supported by Our Children’s Trust who sued the United States Government in a Landmark U.S. Federal Climate Lawsuit; Abby Brockway, Washington-based climate activist who took part in the Everett Delta 5 oil train blockade in 2014; and Bill Moyer, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Backbone Campaign. All our speakers were featured in the documentary film The Race To Save The World,” a documentary by Emmy award-winning director Joe Gantz about the passion and unwavering commitment of climate warriors, ages 15 to 72, in the trenches fighting climate change in the United States.
