There’s some alarming trends emerging in the Florida housing market. For example, in February 2024 (most recent data available), there were more new listings in the state than any other February since at least 2008 (when the Florida Realtors began tracking data). Therefore, new listings rose to the highest February levels in at least the past 16 years! This has caused inventory levels to surge to the highest levels since 2019. Additionally, the share of price reductions in Florida is at least a 5-year high for this time of year.

To give you a quick mortgage interest rates update, according to the Mortgage News Daily the average 30 yr fixed rate mortgage is around 7% for the current mortgage rates (at the time of filming this video for those with excellent credit).
