We like it because it makes having a treadmill in your home more accessible for people. It’s unique to the majority of treadmills that we review because it folds flat. The console and uprights can be collapsed onto the deck when it’s not in use. The City L6 has a smaller deck size at 17.5” x 45” and a more limited 1.6 CHP motor. Both of these sizes make it best for walking for most users. Petite users and users with shorter strides might be able to lightly jog, but we don’t recommend it to be used for running. It also has a 250 lb max weight capacity so it might not be best for some users. We also really like the City L6 because it is iFit enabled. Although the treadmill’s console itself is very simple and straightforward, if you’re an iFit member, you can connect the City L6 through the iFit app on your device and stream classes from there. Plus, once you’re in a class, you can follow along with the instructor and let the treadmill change speeds with their cues, and even change the speed of the treadmill on the app. When connected, your metrics on the treadmill will also be accurately shown in the iFit app. Without a monthly membership of iFit, you can still use the ProForm City L6, although you’ll be limited to just a manual mode and viewing your metrics on the treadmill. While iFit is great because it offers thousands of trainer-led live and on-demand classes that are filmed indoors and outdoors, some users might not like working out this way. That’s why we’re glad the City L6 offers a manual mode as well. I’m impressed with how small the console is, but I have to say it has a lot of functionality. On top of seeing your workout metrics like miles, mph, time, and calories, there are also quick touch speed buttons. The City L6 goes up to 8 mph and with the added 8 buttons on the console you can choose between switching from 1 mph up to 8 mph. You can also use the speed buttons on the treadmill or in the iFit app to change your speed in 0.1 increments. We recommend checking out the ProForm City L6 treadmill if you’re short on space or are looking for a good walking treadmill for your home. It can be folded up flat to be compact, even though it doesn’t take up as much space as other treadmills when it’s unfolded. It’s also compatible with iFit so you’re sure to get good use out of the City L6 from ProForm. 0:00 - Introduction 0:34 - Who It's For 2:08 - Construction Overview 5:55 - Console 9:27 - Functionality Demo 11:50 - Folding 12:51 - Conclusion #proformcityl6 #proformtreadmill #treadmillreview |
