Actress Malavika Mohanan, the daughter of popular cinematographer KU Mohanan had acted in few movies like Beyond The Clouds, Pattam Pole, The Great Father before making her debut in Tamil with the Karthik Subbaraj directed Superstar Rajnikanth starrer Petta.

Malavika Mohanan had acted as Sasikumar's pair in Petta, and after the success of the movie had been signed to play the female lead in Vijay's 64th movie Master directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It was reported that Malavika Mohanan will be playing a college student in the movie, and Vijay plays a professor.

Now the latest news making the rounds is that Malavika Mohanan's character in the movie will not just be having romance scenes and songs, but will also have action, and the actress has undergone Parkour training for the action scenes in the movie. It has been said that Malavika Mohanan will be seen fighting Vijay Sethupathi in Master.
