Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has commemorated the sixth anniversary of the failed coup in 2016 while addressing a large gathering in Istanbul. Thousands of people joined in to remember the 251 people martyred and thousands injured during the attempt. Remembering the night of defiance, Erdogan hailed the people of Turkiye, saying the victory belongs to them. Political analyst Onur Erim weighs in.
