Local Crafters Pay it Forward

Back in January we introduced you to a group that meets at the Naperville libraries to use their knitting talents for good, and this week they were able to make a donation.
The Stitching in the Stacks library group was knitting small squares back in the winter, in an effort to make quilts for those at Family Shelter Service.
Recently they were able to drop off 15 handmade blankets to the facility for use during the winter months.
Crafters of any level are encouraged to come out and share their talents as part of the group’s pay it forward projects.

“Right now we are doing chemo caps, we’ve done pre-me caps, fleece blankets for pet shelters. Really anything we can make just to help the community and reach out,” said Adult Services Librarian, Karen Toonen.
