Land Rover Discovery 5 facelift - 3d printed 1/8 scale remote control car. Part 7 - 3d printed body creation
3d printed Land Rover Discovery RC chassis has independent front and rear suspension, 3 differentials, front, rear and center with the ability to lock them like the original Land Rover Discovery 5, also a 2-speed gearbox with neutral gear. The first speed is for crawling, the second is for "everyday" driving. You can change gears and block differentials remotely, from the transmitter, each differential can be controlled separately, this allows you to create interesting situations and observe how the mechanisms work)) The model also have lights and sound. GT Power is used as a sound module, there are 58 preset sounds with the ability to switch and adjust the volume, there are gasoline engines from 4 to 12 cylinder and diesel, and if you dig in the firmware and cut audio, you can record your sounds of the engine, gear shifting, braking, blow off the turbine and some other little things. There is also an application for Windows, in which you can play with the settings. But this module also has a drawback, it does not reproduce "sound by transmission". I mean, let's say you pressed the gas to the floor and hold it for a long time, the sound cycle should go through for every 6-8 gears, but here it turns out as if one gear is twisted into the cut-off, I hope I explained it clearly. 3d printed chassis made modular, this allows you to change its dimensions and parameters, wheelbase, etc. Model dimensions: width - 254 mm, width with mirrors - 292 mm, height - 253 mm, length - 620 mm, wheelbase - 367 mm. These dimensions are the same dimensions as the original Land Rover Discovery 5 in 1/8 scale. In order not to disturb the proportions of the body and make the model more replica, I use the given wheelbase and width dimensions, and not the standard 313mm for trophies rc cars. Transmitter - Radiolink RC4GS converted into 6 channels. Thanks to the gyroscope built into the receiver (R7FG), the chassis will also have an electronic stabilization system and reverse telemetry on battery voltage. Transmitter would be better with a large number of channels, because for light control: low / high beam, fog lights, DRL, etc. The weight of the assembled model - 4.4 kg You can find out more about the Land Rover Discovery 5 3d printed rc car and links to spare parts in my other videos: Chassis - https://youtu.be/X7Aqzkwsyp0 Gearbox - https://youtu.be/tZP4djSrG-w Suspension modules - https://youtu.be/AdoPew_XEm8 Differentials - https://youtu.be/NtajCLUQG8o Brakes and wheels - https://youtu.be/aWBnVEVzcFE #landrover #3dprint #landroverRC #RCcar #landroverdiscovery |
