There are believed to be around 1,500 potentially active volcanos on land around the world, with fifty to seventy of them erupting each year… but, deep beneath the waves of the oceans, it’s a different story. Many thousands of volcanic structures are known about, with some of them capable of explosive events that are far more powerful than anything that’s happened on land. It’s time, then, to venture into the depths to visit the 15 largest underwater volcano cracks.
