Walking in the Ancient Greek Island of Krete in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey with 4K Ultra Max Graphics Settings. This is the first part of the Krete Island walk and it covers the Messara region. The second part will cover the region of Pephka.

Krete, alternatively Crete, is the largest island of Greece and the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea.

Krete was settled for the first time around 8000 BCE, and in time became the home of the Minoan civilization, named after king Minos by the archaeologist Arthur John Evans. This culture thrived on trade, and its influence extended over the eastern Mediterranean, usually through peaceful means.

When the Mycenaeans conquered Krete after 1400 BCE, the Minoan palaces like the Knossos Palace collapsed.
