Did Israel REALLY Choose the Torah at Sinai? |

Although the Revelation at Sinai remains a foundational event in Jewish history, there seems to be a conflict over whether our ancestors accepted the Torah with open arms (“Naaseh V'Nishma”) or whether it was somehow forced on them. The answer to this conflict reveals a fundamental difference between the ancient and modern world and ultimately how we can see the Divine in our everyday lives. Shabbat Shalom!
