कांग्रेस सांसद शशि थरूर ने दिल्ली कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष अरविंदर सिंह लवली के भाजपा में शामिल होने पर कहा कि "...जो एक बार जा चुके हैं अगर वे दूसरी बार जा रहे हैं तो उनके बारे में क्या कहें? मैं सिर्फ यही कहूंगा कि जब एक लोकतांत्रिक पार्टी में कुछ गड़बड़ हो जाए तो आप अपनी राय रखें फिर अगर आपकी राय न मानी जाए तो या तो आप पार्टी में रहकर अपना कार्य करिए या अपना रास्ता ढूंढें।
