DESCRIPTION: Most K-12 classrooms operate under a flawed premise: every student learns at exactly the same pace as his or her peers. As teachers, we know this isn’t how learning works. In this session you will be introduced to the Modern Classrooms Project and some of the ideas that have been developed to create a teaching model based around self-paced, mastery based education. You will also hear first hand about how it works in the classroom from a teacher that is implementing the model on a daily basis.
