Almost six years ago, close to 200 signatories came together and agreed to tackle #climate change by aiming to keep #globalWarming under 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. The #ParisAgreement was lauded as a landmark deal that would change the future. But today, analysts say global emissions are set to rise more than 15 percent by 2030, which could lead to a temperature rise of 2.7 degrees Celsius. So are these international summits just hot air? François Gemenne, a specialist in environmental geopolitics and migration dynamics, joined us for Perspective.
