It's a staple for rugby traditionalists and older fans, who revel in the throat slitting, tongue poking ferocity displayed by otherwise poster boy types such as Dan Carter, Sonny Bill Williams and Richie McCaw. But does the haka connect with a younger generation? Before the 2015 IRC Rugby World Cup, a New Zealand choreographer took it upon himself to upgrade the haka for a modern audience. He wanted to ensure that the passion and buzz inspired among older purists by the dance could also indulge the wandering attention spans of the google generation. So he invented a new Haka, inspired by Nicki Minaj style twerking. Will it win over a whole new generation of fans for the All Blacks pre match routine?
