AeroMINE (Motionless INtegrated Extraction) patent-protected wind energy harvesters offer safe, distributed electricity generation with no external moving parts. This enables integration on existing and new buildings. They have greatly increased swept-area as compared to micro-wind turbines, leading to proportional increases in energy production. Furthermore, unlike all wind energy devices with external moving parts, AeroMINEs do not create significant aero-acoustic noise, greatly reduce risks to people and wildlife, and do not create visual flicker. The turbine and generator are located inside the building, out of the elements, increasing system longevity and reliability and decreasing maintenance costs.
