The Largest Explosive Volcanic Eruptions during the Holocene Epoch

video thumbnail
The eruption of Mount Saint Helens in 1980 was quite large, but it was less than 2% of the size of the 1815 eruption of Tambora, which created the so called "year without a summer". In the last 11,700 years approximately 12 VEI 7 explosive volcanics eruption have occurred, and this video will rank 11 of them. #short #shorts #volcano #eruption
