Parents of female Israeli soldiers kidnapped from a military base during last year’s Hamas attack have released a graphic video of their own daughters’ capture in a “last resort” to pressure the Israeli government into negotiating a hostage deal with Hamas.

Fifteen female Israel Defense Force (IDF) border spotters were murdered at the Nahal Oz military base close to the border on October 7. Seven were abducted into Gaza, one of whom was subsequently rescued by the IDF and another died in captivity.

Parents of the five surviving female soldiers on Wednesday released a three-minute video, showing the terrified young women being harassed and handcuffed by Hamas fighters and taken into Gaza.
