US officials have expressed concerns that Israel's aerial defense systems, including the Iron Dome, could easily be overwhelmed if a full-scale war were to be launched with the Hezbollah terror group.

The fear is the Iron Dome could be vulnerable to Hezbollah's arsenal of drones and missiles, the number of which continues to rise.

Israeli officials have reportedly told the US they plan to shift resources to northern Israel from the area around Gaza in preparation for a possible offensive against the group.

“We assess that at least some” Iron Dome batteries “will be overwhelmed,” a senior administration official said.

As Hezbollah continues to launch intensified strikes on northern Israel over the last several weeks, the concern of a full-scale war between the two rises.

Israel continues its fight against Hamas in Gaza, specifically in Rafah, following the terror group's Oct. 7 attack.

LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow was joined by Javed Ali at the University of Michigan to explain the situation.
