GETTING A LOAN IN THE PHILIPPINES? Here there is something called "Utang" and on this day in Cateel, Davao Oriental... that is exactly what I needed to do.

Another raw day along the coast of Mindanao. We head into town to pick up supplies for our fence and lot. But, I didn't bring enough money! Yikes! Luckily, here in the Province it is common to do something called "Utang", or basically loaning. Utang is something you can see happening everyday here. It is basically getting whatever you need from a store, and then having to pay back in the future.
