Transforming the College Digital Learning Environment

video thumbnail
Community and technical colleges leverage a variety of learning tools and interactive course content to support—and improve—the teaching and learning process. As your digital learning environment grows to meet the needs of all learners, instructors and instructional designers are challenged to create a seamless user experience without sacrificing innovation or choice. An open standards-based connected learning environment, where your edtech products work well together, gives instructors more flexibility to enhance the learning experience. It enables the institution to scale and sustain its digital strategy. This session will showcase the teaching and learning benefits of pervasive edtech interoperability standards and discuss new community initiatives for accelerating next-generation digital learning environments. Participants will hear examples from institutional leaders about ways they have been able to evolve their digital ecosystem for the best teaching and learning experiences.

Speakers:
Paul Czarapata, Ed.D., Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS)
Kelly Hoyland, Higher Education Program Manager, IMS Global Learning Consortium
Gary Ritter, Executive Director of Client Services, Central Piedmont Community College
Cynthia Wilson, Ed.D., Vice President for Learning and Chief Impact Officer, League for Innovation in the Community College
